We match you
We forward your request the same business day to a vetted local dealer that handles your area and your need.
The dealer contacts you
The dealer reaches out directly with options and pricing. You deal with them from there — no middleman markup.
Plain talk: we are a matching service, not a manufacturer. Here is exactly how we work.
Why request through us instead of calling around?
One form, not five phone calls
Describe your need once. We route it to a dealer that actually handles it, instead of you cold-calling shops that may not stock your voltage.
Dealers who do this every day
We work with established local dealers that sell, service, and maintain industrial batteries as their core business — not generalists.
Sized right the first time
Voltage, amp-hour capacity, charger matching, shift schedule — the form captures what a dealer needs to quote accurately, so there is less back-and-forth.
Free for American businesses
Dealers pay for the introduction. Your business pays nothing to request a quote and you are under no obligation to buy.
Common questions
Do you sell batteries directly?
No. American Industrial Batteries is a matching service, not a manufacturer or dealer. You send us one quote request and we connect you with a vetted local dealer who provides pricing, delivery, and service directly.
How long does a forklift battery last?
A well-maintained lead-acid forklift battery typically lasts around 1,500 charge cycles, roughly 5 years in single-shift use. Lithium-ion batteries generally last longer and need less maintenance. Lifespan depends on charging habits, watering, operating temperature, and how many shifts the truck runs.
Should I buy lead-acid or lithium-ion?
Lead-acid costs less up front and works well for single-shift operations with time for charging and watering. Lithium-ion charges faster, needs no watering, and suits multi-shift operations, but costs more initially. A dealer can run the numbers for your shift pattern.
What battery voltage does my forklift need?
Most electric forklifts use 24V, 36V, 48V, or 80V systems. The voltage must match the truck — check the data plate or the existing battery. If you are not sure, note the truck make and model in your quote request and the dealer will confirm.
What areas do you serve?
Our launch market is the Detroit metro area, including Troy, Warren, Sterling Heights, Dearborn, Livonia, and surrounding communities. Tell us where your facility is in the quote form and we will match you with the closest dealer we work with.
Is the quote request really free?
Yes. Requesting a quote costs you nothing and obligates you to nothing. Dealers pay us for the introduction, so the service is free for businesses.
